Collegiate Water Polo Player Overcomes Chronic Pain from Hip Labral Tear and Surgery, FAI, TOS, and Ulnar Nerve Pain
“Limitless helped me overcome 2 years of ulnar nerve pain, thoracic outlet syndrome, a hip labral tear, FAI, & hip surgery, when years of doctor visits did nothing.
Here’s my story:
My college water polo career got off to a rocky start when I suffered from FAI & a torn labrum in my left hip, & had similar issues in my right. I got left hip surgery & rushed my recovery to play the next season.
The worst came 2 years later when I injured my ulnar nerve in my dominant arm during practice. It was all downhill after.
For years, I had burning pain in my elbow, my fingers went numb, & I couldn’t bend my arm. It was debilitating, limiting me in all aspects of life. I could not train, type or hold my phone.
After 2 years of doctors visits, I had no definitive diagnosis or course of action.
I lost hope that I’d ever get better.
I thought that if this is what life would be like, I wasn’t sure that I’d want to live.
At that low moment, I realized my health was in my own hands, & I’d stop at nothing to be active again. Coincidentally, that’s when I found Whealth. I was inspired by the recovery stories & gave it a shot, so I enrolled in Limitless.
Within 1 month of following the program consistently, I saw improvements in my pain, strength and mindset.
Today, 10 months later, I am no longer in pain or afraid to move.
My progress with Whealth was not linear. I had some acute injuries & slower times, but what halted my progress most was my mindset. A few times, I found myself thinking negatively – believing my ailments were different and incurable. But I ALWAYS picked myself back up & continued with the program.
I’m grateful Limitless helped me rebuild my strength & confidence, & overcome unimaginably dark times.
I never got surgery on my right hip & Limitless helped me completely rehab it, & my left hip too. Today, I am squatting/deadlifting as much as I did pre-injuries without pain. Most importantly, I no longer have nerve pain during/after workouts, which is HUGE. I never thought I’d be able to train like this again.
Thanks Whealth for giving me this opportunity to overcome unimaginable pain when doctors never told me it would be possible.”
